The Persuader packages are designed for the “crossover” motorsport enthusiast. Those who require the capabilities of powerful motorsport electronics, without the associated headaches. Complication regarding specific engine setup, wiring harness labor, and the need for advanced support have been virtually eliminated. In addition to the high performance engine control module, there is an adapter box (or wiring harness) that is an intricate header/connector translation device.
These components perform all of of the pin translation, complex splices, power distribution, and also contain any extra hardware that is required to utilize the factory components. Each kit is customized for each application.
What is the Persuader?
Anybody that has experience being quoted for a custom engine control systems has surely been overwhelmed with the amount of options, and varying costs. Most of our planned applications had too many complicated options making them almost impossible to properly quote. After years of building EMS kits that were all “one offs”, it was decided the best solution would be a universal standard. The plethora of options when quoting EMS systems is now simplified into one standardized concept. We looked through the history of all of the options people needed in the past (wideband lambda, expansion, CAN controls, etc), and carefully choose and produce hardware that can achieve these goals. The included components that come in our kits ensure the full control of almost all features newer engines require.
The control strategies for these complicated systems come pre-configured. This makes installation extremely convenient as the setup is mostly complete. Thousands of hours have been spent on development of these control strategies.
Almost all factory functions/sensors/actuators are retained depending on the system. We do our best to achieve the “dream” by replicating the OEM calibration strategies, along with using all of the engines technology. The end user can then tune every function and make changes accordingly based on their performance or longevity goals.
People argue that more economical ECUs packages can be used, however most of the time these systems require the removal of otherwise necessary components like Ethrottle, VVT, or more. This usually results in the poor drivability that customers often have anxiety about. It also defeats the purposes of running the more complicated engine in the first place.
